Each year the MAA grants a scholarship to a high school senior from the local community.
Criteria
Students’ work will be judged on their artistic expression as well as their unique depiction of subject matter, drawing ability, composition, use of color, detail, technical ability and overall presentation.
The Show
Candidates who are chosen for the interview process will be asked to display their work at the MAA Gallery located on Elm Street in the month of June. (Dates to be announced) This is an excellent venue to showcase your talent and should be viewed as one of the major accomplishments in your high school art career. The scholarship will be presented during an evening ceremony at the gallery.
The deadline for 2008 Scholarship Application submissions was May 1st. |
