The Bedford Historical Society will sponsor a thought-provoking public program by Leah Fox, Director of Public Programs at the Currier Museum of Art, entitled “From Anonymous to Aponovich: New Hampshire History and Art”.
“From Anonymous to Aponovich: New Hampshire History and Art” will be presented on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 7:30 PM, at the McAllaster Room of the Bedford Public Library. The program, which is free and open to the public, will feature an informal talk by Leah Fox, of the Currier Museum of Art. She is actively involved in research in the field of New Hampshire art and history, and welcomes the opportunity to promote this special interest beyond the museum.
Leah Fox will explore the major themes of the New Hampshire experience from post-colonial times to the present. Her subject will include early New Hampshire living, artist colonies from the end of the 19th century to the early 20th century, other artists living in or visiting New Hampshire. She will also discuss the Currier Museum Expansion Project. Slides will accompany the talk. Refreshments will follow the lively discussion afterwards.
